The Advanced OMCC takes 3 key management skills to further enhance the participants’ effectiveness; and introduces the concepts of the Net Promoter Score (NPS) – a tool to measure a customer’s willingness to recommend a company’s products or services to others. NPS is used by many companies, large and small to constantly improve customer care, sales and profits

The Advanced OMCC is recommended for graduates of the OMCC; long term office managers and others who have already mastered the basics of office management.

  1. Communication skills - The capability to provide information to another efficiently and effectively. Managers who possess good verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills help facilitate the sharing of information between people within a company for its benefit.

  2. Interpersonal skills - Interpersonal communication is the process by which people exchange information, feelings, and meaning through verbal and non-verbal messages: it is face-to-face communication.

  3. Time management skills - “Time management” is the process of organizing and planning how to divide your time between specific activities. Good time management enables you to work smarter – not harder – so that you get more done in less time, even when time is tight and pressures are high. Failing to manage your time damages your effectiveness and causes stress.

  4. Using NPS to grow your business - The Net Promoter Score is an index ranging from -100 to 100 that measures the willingness of customers to recommend a company's products or services to others. It is used as a proxy for gauging the customer's overall satisfaction with a company's product or service and the customer's loyalty to the brand

*The certificate will expire three years after the date of completion. A brief re-certification course and test will be offered every three years from that point on. This will ensure every office manager has the most up to date information.
